About Me
I have loved animals all of my life and I have had horses, dogs, cats, snakes, rats, birds, and hamsters. I was lucky enough to have attended an occupational training program in California called ROP. It was in this program that I took animal care classes and received a more formal training in the basics of animal care from horses to chickens, and rabbits to snakes. One of my first jobs was in a pet store that sold every kind of house pet you could imagine. This is where I first came into close contact with large parrots. That was a great educational experience! Puppies and kittens, exotic birds, fish, rodents, even chinchillas; we sold them all. I learned to administer shots, hand feed baby birds, and clean fish tanks (which was my least favorite job). I have continued to keep pets of my own all of my life. Having animals is essential part of who I am. When I was presented with the opportunity to move to Oklahoma, I jumped at it without any questions or reservations. I love living here, and I love that living here has afforded me the opportunity to keep my horses, and work with animals on a daily basis. I look forward to meeting you and your pets soon.
